Welcome to St. Mark`s This parish was established in 1856 in the community of Shakopee, which developed as the last river town on the south side of the Minnesota River, before the shallows and rapids by Carver. It is located 40 miles southwest of the center of the Twin Cities -- with easy four lane access.
Our beautiful German Gothic Church was built in 1865. It has wonderfully carved altars of butternut. The stained glass windows are literally from a family chapel of Emperor Franz Josef of Austria. Our organ was built in Germany. As you can tell we have a German heritage that we are quite proud of -- but everyone is welcome.
We have many Masses each weekend, many pastoral services, a consolidated Catholic school that goes from pre-K through 8th grade. If you are in the area, please drop by. The welcome mat is always out.
Weekend Masses are on Saturday at 4:30 pm and Sunday at 7:30, 9:00 & 10:30 am. We also have Mass in Spanish every Sunday at 1:00 pm. Weekday Masses: 6:30 a.m. Tues.-Fri. (English)
